Discover What Makes Blue Columbine Special

At Blue Columbine, we are a group of caring, thoughtful people creating a place where neighbors can truly know and support one another. We hope to welcome others who share our vision for a connected, inclusive, and multigenerational community—while honoring each person’s need for privacy and independence.

Our values guide how we treat one another, make decisions, care for our resources, and grow together. But it’s our members who are the real “secret sauce” of Blue Columbine. We invite you to explore what matters to us, then join us for an upcoming event or information session to meet our members, experience the warmth of our community, and discover whether Blue Columbine feels like a place where you could belong.

These are the values that shape us…

Community

A group of seven people enjoying a gathering on an outdoor patio, with a man pouring wine into glasses at a round table. The setting features a wooden building with large windows and a staircase in the background.

We are interdependent, engaged participants who create our community through joyful, respectful, honest interactions and by balancing our shared lives with respect for personal space.

Stewardship

A table covered with a blue tablecloth filled with fresh vegetables and berries, set outdoors on a patio. There are tomatoes, zucchini, yellow squash, pumpkins, radishes, green beans, and various berries in baskets and containers. In the background, there are wooden benches and a white door.

We emphasize the wise use of our natural resources, financial resources, and time, talent and abilities to create a community where we steward these resources to support each other, our community, our neighborhood, and our planet.

Inclusion

We create a welcoming multi-generational community, value diverse backgrounds and experiences, and accept people in all the ways they differ.

Growing

A group of people gathered on a wooden bridge outdoors, listening to a woman who is speaking and holding papers, with trees and blue sky in the background.

We create opportunities for individual and community growth and recognize that our community will evolve and change as we learn and grow together.

Caring

Three people, two men and one woman, are outside during the evening, posing with two dogs. The woman is in the middle, wearing a sleeveless dress, and smiling. The man on the left is wearing glasses, a checked shirt, and black pants, while the man on the right is also wearing glasses and a grey shirt. They are kneeling or bending down, holding the dogs' leashes. The dogs are large, golden-colored, and appear to be Golden Retrievers. The background includes trees, a small park, and a food truck.

We express and model kindness, generosity and support as we engage with each other and learn to live as a community.

The table is set with plates of food, drinks, and a centerpiece with yellow and white flowers. One person is standing, possibly a server or host, while others are seated and smiling.
